Watch our web site for the latest selection of Silver-Filled products and Findings.  Our Silver-Filled products are 1/10th weight, bonded to a brass composition.  This is the same base used in 14/20 gold filled material.  G&S Metals recommends that you clearly identify the Silver-Filled.  We are using a "green" label to designate that it is Silver-Filled.  It really looks great and could easily be confused with sterling silver.  Our customers have reported that they have had great success with it.  There has been no flaking or pealing.  Yes, it is made in the USA.

As our Silver-Filled products increase in sales, it is only reasonable to ask, "what do I use for solder"?

Our metallurgist has recommended that you use the lowest melting solder available.  The standard Easy Flow solder should work, but the Extra Easy Flow may work even better.  Care should be taken not to heat the whole piece being soldered.  Suggestion: try putting the piece to be soldered in wet sand to keep it cool and steady.
